Kodiak 32'
Our new Kodiak 32' was designed in response to the numerous customers over the past few years that have requested a Lazy Daze capable of extended traveling or full timing. So we designed this new coach with the features and amenities these customers are looking for. The Kodiak 32' is available in either our standard Island bed or twin bed floor plan configurations. We started with the Chevrolet C5500 Kodiak chassis equipped with a 325 H.P. 8.1 liter gas V-8 and six-speed Allison automatic transmission. This super heavy duty 19,500 GVWR chassis allowed us to engineer a "super C" that boast larger capacities as well as a generous level of standard equipment over and above our Ford based 31' models. The chassis has been loaded with standard features that include air conditioning, full gauges plus a transmission temperature gauge, heavy duty transmission oil cooler, 150 amp generator, remote heated power mirrors, driver and passenger airbags, tilt wheel and cruise control, power windows and door locks, keyless entry and a matching 19.5" Michelin XRV spare tire. Front and rear Bilstein gas shocks have been included for improved handling. To maximize traveling range, we equipped the Kodiak with Chevrolet's 80 gallon fuel tank. The dash has an attractive wood grain finish. The cab seats are upholstered in supple black ultraleather using French stitching and they include an LD logo embroidered on the headrest. The cab floor and engine cover are insulated and fully carpeted for added noise and heat reduction. A C.B. radio with weather channels is standard as well as a back-up camera with a cab mounted LCD monitor. To help maneuver in tight areas, a front camera has been added to the back-up camera system to increase the lower view just forward of the front bumper. To help find your destination, we built in an in dash navigation system. This system also includes a CD player, AM/FM radio and an iPod interface that can display and control your iPod functions directly from the navigation touch screen! It even has Bluetooth capability. The interior cabinets on this new coach are finished using rich cherry hardwood. The sofa seating surfaces are also covered in soft ultraleather and finished with French stitching on the top seams. Complementary upholstery has been used on the valances and chairs. The kitchen has been designed for versatility and convenience. Deep shelved overhead cabinets with three separate doors are located directly above the kitchen counter. An enlarged attractive solid surface counter top with matching drop leaf extension has been incorporated into this new unit. A combination three burner glass cook top and convection microwave oven underneath have been recessed below the counter top level. This allows for a flush solid surface bi-fold cover above the cook top creating a large flush continuous counter top for added work space. A deep, wide single sink capable of accommodating larger sized pots and pans is ergonomically placed within the counter top. A huge nine foot refrigerator is used for added food storage. This new refrigerator boast beautiful radius black doors and a built in digital readout thermometer. Below the refrigerator is a long, deep drawer designed to conveniently store items such as pots and pans. For entertainment, a 26" LCD HD Sharp Aquos TV is built into the entertainment center. A Bose home theater system with exhilarating theater quality sound adds an additional level of excitement. It is capable of playing DVD's as well as music CD's. Even an automatic enclosed dome DDS antenna is included to round out the lounge area entertainment package. The rear bedroom area is equipped with its own 19" LCD HD TV. All standard. Knowing full timers need and expect enough outside storage to carry all their gear, we took advantage of the Kodiak's healthy 3,500 pound occupant and cargo carry capacity and created three good size "pass through" storage bays. The largest pass through bay is approximately five feet wide and is designed to swallow large items such as folding chairs or golf clubs. The oversized storage doors utilize a self latching paddle style lock assembly with a dual latch system for a tighter seal. When it comes to 12 volt house battery power we didn't fool around. We built in four Trojan T-145 six volt batteries on an exterior slide out tray. These batteries yield a fully charged combined output of 520 AH of power! To help keep these batteries charged, we added three hundred watts of solar power and incorporated a current boosting digital readout charge controller that not only charges the house batteries but the chassis battery as well. This heavy duty battery system was designed to feed the standard 2,000 watt Xantrex inverter that powers the interior A.C. outlets and appliances. The inverter is equipped with a supplemental battery charger in the event the batteries need a quick charge via a 120 volt power source. Of course a 4,000 watt generator is included as standard equipment. A large 25 gallon propane tank has been incorporated to allow for "extended stays" so you won't have to constantly sweat refilling. A 60 gallon fresh water capacity is built within the coach interior. The gray water tank capacity is 48 gallons while the black water tank has a 40 gallon capacity. Both tanks are enclosed within their own heated compartment to help prevent freeze up in cold weather. The holding tanks are equipped with a rinse system with multiple built in spray heads. This is just a partial list of the outstanding level of standard equipment on this exciting new coach. So if you're looking to upgrade to a larger class C with full timing capabilities or down size from a high end class A without compromising on quality and amenities, our new Kodiak 32' has you covered.
